Not booking a wedding videographer for our wedding was our BIGGEST regret — not even kidding! Booking one had crossed our mind, but naturally a wedding video had fallen to the bottom of the list of wedding necessities. Not only was our budget a factor, but we simply thought photos alone would suffice in telling our WHOLE wedding story. This is what many couples think, but take it from us… we were WRONG. Our wedding photographer was AMAZING, but pictures alone lack so much that only video can provide.
Pictures capture a moment in time, but video allows you to relive the whole event. You can watch the tear fall down the grooms cheek, you can watch your little brother breaking it down on the dance floor, and you can watch the fireworks go off behind you as you make your exit at the end of the night. Only videography can capture these moments in their fullness. I wish I had realized that sooner! So don’t make the same mistake I did. Book photo and video for your wedding!
After being a photographer and videographer for as long as I have now, I’ve seen first-hand the storytelling power that a video can add to wedding and the way it makes people feel! The way a bride and groom can relive their day through a video is simply undeniable.
It CAN Fit in Your Budget
I think it’s pretty easy to see the effect that a wedding video has on someone, but I think we often see video just as a luxury item. Oh, if we can afford it we’ll get it. But it doesn’t have to be a far-fetched dream to have a wedding video! You CAN afford it!
It’s simply a matter of prioritizing the wedding video because when it comes down to it, you REALLY should! There are only a few things that really, truly matter when you’re putting together your wedding budget: your venue, dress, photographer, and videographer. Those are the biggest things that will affect your day. So don’t let your wedding video fall to the bottom of your list. Cause if you do, it just simply won’t happen.
Book Photo and Video Together
I can say confidently that there is just as much (or more) emotional value in a wedding video as there is in the photographs! This is why booking the two services together is seriously the move! You can read this blog here on why we HIGHLY recommend booking a photo/video duo instead of separate vendors for each.
I know making room in the budget for both services is easier said than done, so that’s why we offer photo/video bundles that save you tons! We feel strongly that everyone should have have a wedding video (and even a first look video) even if their budget is on the tighter side. But even if you have go over your budget a little bit, DO IT. You seriously won’t regret it. At the end of the day, your wedding photos and video will last forever, unlike many other things from the wedding. So don’t worry about the money as much as I did! Because the photos and video will allow you to relive your wedding day for the rest of your life.
